Long distance between family, friend and colleague will not be a problem anymore. A video conference is a real-time video session between two or more users. Vphonet can create a video conference up to 1+3 participants. It means that you, your sister from Sydney, cousin from London and other cousin from Rio de Janeiro can see each other in the same time with no delay and with clear voice. No matter how many miles away you are, video conversations are a great way to communicate.
The software enable you to capture a picture of your friend during the video call and save in your computer. More then that, in PIP (Picture in Picture) mode, you can see yourself in the way others can see you. You can also adjust the brightness and contrast of the video calls.
Video conference calls are managed by a Conference Master. Only that participant may add others to that conference.
Making free video conferences
• Open Vphonet. Your status connection should be Online
• Press "Video" button to open Video Session window.
• Type the username or Vphonet number into the address field (2) or choose the user from the address book.
• Click "Send" button (3) to connect with the user.
• The user that you calling to must accept the video call.
• Choose another user from your address book and send a Video call. The first user will be in "Hold"
• Press "Conf all" button to activate a video conference with both users.
Setting a video camera
• Open Vphonet Preferences -> Video -> Choose your Web cam device and then press "Settings" button.
• Your camera should show your image.
